This began with the news that the cheapest Model 3 was being made available to order and prices for the Model S and Model X have also been revised. You can now pick up a top spec Model S for over £40,000 less than older versions of the car. On Sunday Elon Musk also confirmed that the Model Y would be unveiled on March 14th. Musk stated that the car will have 10 per cent less range and be 10 per cent more expensive than the Model 3 but full pricing and specs will be confirmed at the event next week. The Tesla CEO also quietly confirmed that the Tesla Pickup truck will be unveiled later this year. One person asked if the ‘Model Y was the truck’ to which the electric car boss replied that the unveil for that car is “later this year.” While responding to another question on Twitter her shared his enthusiasm for the pickup. “Personally, I’m most excited by the Tesla Truck. “Maybe it will be too futuristic for most people, but I love it,” he said. It stops my heart. It’s like, oh, it’s great.” The Tesla Truck or Pickup Truck is expected to go into production after the Model Y in 2020.
